In this business there is the need for someone who knows about dance and understands how to capture the movement on video. What I've noticed from seeing other videographers' work, they don't understand how to capture dance in a way that will allow it to be perserved. By no means whatsoever am I saying they don't know what they are doing. Just from observation I'm saying that they may not necessarliy be educated in dance.

When viewing the work of other videographers; very odd angles are used, too many angle are used, and poor choices are made in the editing process. These are a few of my reasons why I do dance videography in the first place. There is a major need for videographers who have experience with dance, also who understand and appreciate dance as an art form.
